Robotic Surgery:  Both our doctors spent a year of advanced specialized training and education for the da Vinci robotic surgical system.  Procedures performed with this system include radical prostatectomy and pyeloplasty (kidney reconstruction).  Both doctors are present and perform all robotic surgery together, so patients benefit from having two qualified, fellowship-trained surgeons working as a team.

Laparoscopic Surgery:  Both doctors perform advanced urologic laparoscopy, which is primarily used to remove kidney tumors via small “keyhole” incisions rather than large incisions.

Minimally-Invasive Therapies for Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy (BPH):  The full spectrum of medical and surgical therapies are available.  We can provide in-office treatments such as microwave thermotherapy and transurethral needle ablation (TUNA), as well as operative procedures such as a laser vaporization of the prostate.

Kidney Stones:  Kidney stones occasionally require surgical intervention.  We can discuss the appropriate options for each patient.  Common minimally-invasive procedures are ESWL, which uses sound waves delivered completely outside of the body to break up stones, URETEROSCOPY which allows a small scope to target the stones and destroy them with lasers without making an incision, and PCNL which destroys stones with ultrasonic energy delivered via a small puncture into the kidney.

Genitourinary Cancer:  The genitourinary organs (kidneys, adrenal glands, ureters, bladder, prostate, testicles, and penis) are common sites of malignancy.  We play a very active role in screening for, diagnosing, and treating these tumors.

Urination problems:  Difficulty with bladder function is a common problem.  Incontinence can be a debilitating condition.  We offer state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and therapies for these conditions.

Erectile dysfunction:  There is hope for men who have difficulty with erections.  There are many effective medical therapies and even surgical options for the right patients.
